Day 1

Shoe Bill Tracking - Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Your adventure trip starts today. In the morning have breakfast get briefed about your safari by Gari Trips Guide and drive to Mabamba, where you will meet a local guide, who will transfer with you to the swamp touching Lake Victoria for the shoebill search using a local boat. You will break your journey at the Equator crossing for some pictures and lunch then later embark on your journey to lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock. (Rooms).

Day 2

Walking Safari ( a walk with Giraffes and Zebras )

Have breakfast and enjoy a day in the park. With no dangerous predators such as lions, Lake Mburo is the best place to go on a guided safari by foot, bike or horse. We shall take an extensive walk, supplemented by a short drive. This will be in guidance of a ranger. From the walk we return to the lodge have lunch, take a swim and relax here. Dinner and Overnight at Rwakobo Rock (Rooms).

Day 3

Transfer to Kisoro Town

Today after breakfast we drive to the Kigezi Highlands, perhaps the most fertile and scenic region of Uganda. A landscape of expansive blue lakes, steep terraced slopes and dormant volcanoes with some stops on the way for Lunch you’ll arrive in Kisoro Town late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel (Cotteges).

Day 4

Gorilla Tracking

Rise and shine, have breakfast and carry packed lunch. You probably get up in the dark for an experience of a life time. Today you will be trekking the rare mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi’s mist-covered, forested hills protect an estimated over 480 mountain gorillas, roughly half of the global population. This includes 19 habituated groups which can be tracked. You will start from Rushaga trail head, and guides and rangers will lead on the expedition. Dinner and Overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel (Cottages).

Day 5

Golden Monkey Tracking Experience - Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for a golden monkey tracking experience. Tracking Golden Monkeys will offers you a thrilling and unique opportunity to observe these beautiful primates in their natural environment. The tracking involves hiking through dense bamboo forests accompanied by UWA Guide, following the movements of the monkeys as they leap between trees and forage on the ground. While less famous than gorilla trekking, this activity provides a more dynamic and active experience as the monkeys are highly energetic and agile. The trek typically lasts around 3 hours. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and Overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort (Safari Tent).

Day 6

Lake Bunyonyi - Canoeing or Kayaking

After a relaxed breakfast, paddle across the calm waters of Lake Bunyonyi in traditional dugout canoes or modern kayaks. This is a peaceful way to explore the lake while taking in the stunning landscapes and observing local fishermen at work return for lunch and relaxation. Lunch Dinner and Overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort (Safari Tent).

Day 7

Tree Climbing Lions, Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, depart Lake Bunyonyi and head to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area features beautiful savannah landscapes with cactus, fig, and acacia trees, ideal for wildlife viewing. Spend the day exploring the plains and spotting animals such as elephants, Topis, buffaloes, Kobs, lions, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Topi Lodge Ishasha. (Cottages).

Day 8

Boat Trip - Explore Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive while heading to the northern part of the park. Have your packed Lunch at Mweya Peninsular, and prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel, known for having the highest hippo population in Africa, also offers sightings of African elephants, Cape buffaloes, waterbucks, various birds, and Nile crocodiles. Dinner and overnight stay at Bush Lodge (Safari Tent).

Day 9

Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Kibale Forest

After early Breakfast at the lodge, have another game drive in Kasenyi area to explore more of this beautiful park and increase your chances of seeing Leopards and Lions in Kasenyi Plains, thereafter depart to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Forest Camp. (Safari Tent).

Day 10

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Nature Walk

On this day, you will trek to see the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, home to over 5,000 of these close human relatives. The trek takes you along well-maintained trails, where you'll also encounter other primates such as red Colobus, blue monkeys, and L'Hoest's monkeys, along with olive baboons and bush babies. After the trek, enjoy lunch and prepare for an evening Nature Walk at Bigodi Village. Return to your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (Safari Tent).

Day 11

Transfer to Fort Portal - Visit Semuliki Hot Springs

After a delicious breakfast, head to Semuliki National Park for hot springs, the most captivating feature in Semuliki. The Hot Springs feature a geyser that erupts from an 8-meter hole with very hot water. Notably, you can boil matooke and eggs in the springs. As the largest hot spring in Uganda, it’s a unique experience. Along the trail, you may spot birds like the Blue-breasted Kingfisher and primates such as red-tailed monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 12

Relaxation

Start your day with breakfast, Relax at the Swimming Pool, have a serene nature walk around the hotel gardens or a walk on the streets of this beautiful town. Enjoy a peaceful day before preparing for the next leg of your adventure. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 13

Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Rhino Tracking

After breakfast, drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos in their natural habitat. Have a Lunch stop in Hoima Oil City and embark on your journey to Ziwa. Upon arrival, check in as you prepare for an unforgettable rhino tracking experience, observing these majestic creatures up close with a Ranger. Dinner and overnight at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch ( Guest House).

Day 14

Transfer to Murchison Falls - Hike the Top of the Falls

Today We drive to Murchison Falls Conservation Area, this is the largest conservation area in Uganda. It offers beautiful sceneries of grassland acacia savannah in the north and tropical forests in the south. You will visit the top of the waterfalls, which are spectacular. Here is where the park gets its name, a point where the river Nile meets its greatest obstacle, fixing into a 7m gap. The wildlife is concentrated at the northern section of the park, after you have crossed the Nile River. Drive at a low speed, as you view wildlife, check in at your lodge, relax at the pool as you enjoy the beautiful Sunset on the Nile. Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison (Safari Tent).

Day 15

Morning game drive & Afternoon Boat Trip

Have your breakfast then depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park. Here you will have the opportunity of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. For any birder among you, this area supports the secretary bird and the black chested snake eagle to name a few. Then return to your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, you will head out for the launch/boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls where you will also be able to catch sight of more animals including hippos, crocodiles and several water birds. Return to your accommodation and have a relaxed evening. Lunch Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison (Safari Tent).

Day 16

Transfer to SIPI Falls – Sunset Walk

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the Sipi Falls region, known for its stunning waterfalls and breathtaking landscapes. Arrive in the afternoon and settle into your lodge. Later, take a guided sunset walk to explore the area and enjoy views of the falls and the surrounding plains. Dinner and overnight at Rafiki Lodge SIPI (Bandas).

Day 17

Hike Sipi Falls - Coffee Experience

Begin the day with a coffee tour, learning about the coffee-growing process from bean to cup. Engage with local farmers and try your hand at roasting and brewing your own coffee. In the afternoon, take a guided hike to explore the three iconic Sipi water falls, marveling at their beauty and enjoying the cool mist. Dinner and overnight at Rafiki Lodge Sipi.

Day 18

Transfer to Jinja - Visit the Source of the Nile

In the Morning after Breakfast depart SIPI and embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa. You’ll pass lush landscapes and charming towns along the way. Visit the source of the Nile continue and arrive at Haven Eco Lodge, a serene paradise on the banks of the River Nile. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and relax after your journey. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Haven Eco Lodge. (Luxury Bandas).

Transfer to Jinja - Visit the Source of the Nile

Day 19

White Water Rafting

Today after breakfast you’ll experience the adrenaline rush of navigating Grade 4 and Grade 5 rapids on the Nile River. White water rafting in Jinja is one of the most popular activities for adventure seekers. Both half-day and full-day rafting experiences are available for beginners and experienced rafters. You’ll return to the Lodge for some relaxation. Dinner and Overnight at Haven Eco Lodge (Luxury Bandas).

Day 20

Transfer Back to Entebbe

End your trip with a farewell Lunch in the Heart of Kampala and dinner at Via Via Guest House depending on your time of Departure. Reflect on your adventure-filled days, making plans for your next visit to Uganda!

All bookings made with GARI TRIPS are subject to these terms. Price of trip includes: Private Ground transport (car and fuel in 4*4), Safari guide, entry cost to all parks mentioned in the itinerary, all activities mentioned (Permits, Boat Cruise, and Game Drives), Accommodation Based on Bed & Breakfast. This is if nothing else has been agreed. Price does not include: International flights (unless special agreement), visa fees, beverages, items of personal use and tips. Adjustments after booking: If you want to make changes in your itinerary after booking we will arrange for this if it is possible. Note that the dates for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking cannot be adjusted after booking. Changes in itinerary: In the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as road closures, bad weather, security conditions or problems with hotels) GARI TRIPS reserves the right to make adjustments in the itinerary to ensure you get the best service. You will off-course be informed about this as soon as possible. Payment: When booking a trip, we ask for 30% down payment and a full payment for gorilla and chimpanzee permits (permits can only be booked and secured by paying!) The full payment of the trip has to be done six weeks before starting the tour. CANCELLATIONS: 60> days to start of safari 10% charge 59-32 days to start of safari 25% charge 31-8 days to start of safari 50% charge- 7-0 days to start of safari 100%  Gorilla permits and Chimpanzee permits are excluded from percentages above and are 100% nonrefundable. Means of payment: Payment from abroad should be done through bank transfer to our account in Uganda. Fees for transfer are paid by the client. We accept payment in Cash and Credit cards. During Trip: The animals in the parks are wild so no guarantees can be given of good sightings during game drives or trekking, but rangers and our guides will do their very best to make sure you get a great experience. GARI TRIPS reserves the right to refuse any client behaving in a way that can cause danger/inconvenience to any third party, damage to property, environments or ecosystems to continue the trip. In such a case no refunds will be made and GARI TRIPS will not be liable for expenses occurring due to termination. Vehicles: We put a lot of energy into getting cars that are in a roadworthy condition. Despite this punctures, breakdowns, damage or any other delay can occur due to poor road conditions that are out of our control, for this no liability can be accepted. Complaints: Any issues that occur during the Trip should be reported immediately to the guide and we'll do our best to resolve it. If an issue has not been solved to the client's satisfaction a written complaint should be e-mailed to us no later than 30 days after finishing the safari. Liability: GARI TRIPS cannot accept liability or pay compensation for unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control. This includes flight delays/cancellations, war/threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorist attacks, border closure, acts of the government, strikes, thefts, epidemics, road closure, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical/mechanical problems to transport due to bad roads and similar events beyond the company's control. Health: It is the responsibility of the client to insure that proper medical precautions (immunizations and so on) have been taken.
