Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Shoebill search and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park Start your adventure with breakfast at the guesthouse before driving to Nakiwogo to meet a local guide for a shoebill search in the swamp. Afterward, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, enjoying a scenic ride with a stop at the Equator for lunch at a local restaurant and photos. The park, with its extensive acacia woodlands, is ideal for a walking safari and spotting the giant eland antelope, zebras, and leopards. Dinner and Overnight at Hyena Hill Lodge. Day 2: Morning Game Walk and Boat Safari Begin the day with breakfast and a guided safari walk, exploring Lake Mburo's wildlife on foot. Return to the lodge for lunch, and prepare for a boat safari on the lake. The boat safari offers chances to see the Giant Kingfisher, African Fish Eagle, hippos, crocodiles, and other aquatic life. End the day with a relaxed evening and dinner at the lodge. Day 3: Cultural Experience and Transfer to Kisoro After breakfast, checkout visit a local community to experience milking and ghee making with Ankole cattle. Drive to the Kigezi Highlands, known for their scenic lakes, terraced slopes, and dormant volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and Canoe Ride on Lake Mutanda Track the rare Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga National Park. Afterward, head to Lake Mutanda for a relaxing afternoon or a canoe ride on the lake. Lunch Dinner and Overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel. Day 5: Gorilla Tracking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Start early with your packed lunch for an unforgettable experience trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After the trek, Drive to the Africa’s second deepest lake with 29 islands, for a relaxed evening and Reflection. Dinner and Overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort. Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi Visit some of the 29 islands on the lake, such as Punishment Island and Bushara Island. Enjoy the scenic beauty and bird watching opportunities. Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha Sector Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its biodiversity and tree-climbing lions. Check in at your lodge a relaxation. Dinner and Overnight at Bush Lodge. Day 8: Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel and Night Game Drive Enjoy a morning game drive if you missed the tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and birds. Return to the lodge for a night game drive to spot nocturnal animals (optional). Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Bush Lodge. Day 9: Morning Game Drive, Visit Katwe Salt Lake and Crater Drive Explore the Kasenyi plains on a morning game drive. After lunch, visit Katwe Salt Lake to learn about traditional salt mining and take a crater drive through the park. Day 10: Kyambura Gorge Walk and Fort Portal Tour Walk through Kyambura Gorge, home to chimpanzees and diverse plant life. Transfer to Fort Portal, visit the Amabeere ga Nyina Mwiru and the palace of King Oyo, and stay overnight in Fort Portal. Dinner and Overnight at Home bliss Hotel. Day 11: Semliki National Park Excursion and Bigodi Tour Visit Semliki National Park and the Sempaya Hot Springs. Afterward, transfer to Kibale National Park for an afternoon tour of Bigodi Wetland. Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Forest Camp. Day 12: Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking On this day, you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees share 98% of human genes making them our closest living relatives. Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Forest Camp. Day 13: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park Cross Murchison Falls National Park, visiting the spectacular falls where the Nile River forces through a narrow gap. Check in at your lodge in the northern section of the park and enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Day 14: Game Drive, Boat Safari, and Night at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Early morning game drive in the Buligi area for another chance to Lions, Elephants etc.., followed by a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls after lunch. Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Day 15: Rhino Tracking and Transfer to Gulu Track rhinos in their natural environment at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Afterward, drive to Gulu Town to reduce the distance to Kidepo Valley National Park Dinner and Overnight at African Roots. Day 16: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, a remote and less developed area of Uganda. Check in at your lodge, explore the Kidepo Valley, and visit the hot springs before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Dinner and Overnight at Savannah Lodge Day 17: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park Discover the vast savanna plains and mountain ranges of Kidepo Valley National Park. Enjoy excellent game viewing and the sense of supreme isolation with a picnic lunch in the park. Dinner and Overnight at Savannah Lodge Day 18: Transfer to Kotido - Moroto Culture Tour Exit the park with your packed lunch and drive to Kotido, experiencing the arid landscapes with large boulders. Visit the Nakapelimoru Village this is the largest village (manyattas) in Africa, one of traditional villages of the Karamojong, and immerse yourself in their nomadic pastoral culture. Dinner and Overnight at Kara-Tunga. Day 19: Transfer to Sipi Falls (Coffee Tour) Drive to Sipi Falls at the foothills of Mount Elgon. Enjoy a tour of the community and coffee farms, experiencing the journey from plant to cup. Relax and unwind in the cool, peaceful environment of Sipi Falls. Dinner and Overnight at Home of Friend. Day 20: Sipi Falls Hike and Transfer to Jinja Hike to the three spectacular waterfalls of Sipi Falls, then transfer to Jinja town. Enjoy the stunning scenery and prepare for more adventure the following day. Dinner and Overnight at Nile Explorers Camp. Day 21: White Water Rafting and Source of the Nile Tour Experience white water rafting on the Bujjagali side of the Nile. For those who prefer other activities, options include bungee jumping, tubing, and water slides. Afterward, tour the source of the Nile. Dinner and Overnight at Nile Explorers Camp. Day 22: Kampala City Tour Drive from Jinja to Kampala for a city tour. Visit the Old Kampala Mosque, King’s Palace, Buganda Kingdom Parliament, local markets, and the Bahai Temple. Explore the city on a Boda Boda or by car. Dinner and Overnight at Cassia Lodge. Day 23: Departure Relax at your lodge or explore Entebbe and Lake Victoria before your departure. Your guide will drop you at the airport, marking the end of your epic Ugandan safari.

All bookings made with GARI TRIPS are subject to these terms. Price of trip includes: Private Ground transport (car and fuel in 4*4), Safari guide, entry cost to all parks mentioned in the itinerary, all activities mentioned (Permits, Boat Cruise, and Game Drives), Accommodation Based on Bed & Breakfast. This is if nothing else has been agreed. Price does not include: International flights (unless special agreement), visa fees, beverages, items of personal use and tips. Adjustments after booking: If you want to make changes in your itinerary after booking we will arrange for this if it is possible. Note that the dates for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking cannot be adjusted after booking. Changes in itinerary: In the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as road closures, bad weather, security conditions or problems with hotels) GARI TRIPS reserves the right to make adjustments in the itinerary to ensure you get the best service. You will off-course be informed about this as soon as possible. Payment: When booking a trip, we ask for 30% down payment and a full payment for gorilla and chimpanzee permits (permits can only be booked and secured by paying!) The full payment of the trip has to be done six weeks before starting the tour. CANCELLATIONS: 60> days to start of safari 10% charge 59-32 days to start of safari 25% charge 31-8 days to start of safari 50% charge- 7-0 days to start of safari 100% Gorilla permits and Chimpanzee permits are excluded from percentages above and are 100% nonrefundable. Means of payment: Payment from abroad should be done through bank transfer to our account in Uganda. Fees for transfer are paid by the client. We accept payment in Cash and Credit cards. During Trip: The animals in the parks are wild so no guarantees can be given of good sightings during game drives or trekking, but rangers and our guides will do their very best to make sure you get a great experience. GARI TRIPS reserves the right to refuse any client behaving in a way that can cause danger/inconvenience to any third party, damage to property, environments or ecosystems to continue the trip. In such a case no refunds will be made and GARI TRIPS will not be liable for expenses occurring due to termination. Vehicles: We put a lot of energy into getting cars that are in a roadworthy condition. Despite this punctures, breakdowns, damage or any other delay can occur due to poor road conditions that are out of our control, for this no liability can be accepted. Complaints: Any issues that occur during the Trip should be reported immediately to the guide and we'll do our best to resolve it. If an issue has not been solved to the client's satisfaction a written complaint should be e-mailed to us no later than 30 days after finishing the safari. Liability: GARI TRIPS cannot accept liability or pay compensation for unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control. This includes flight delays/cancellations, war/threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorist attacks, border closure, acts of the government, strikes, thefts, epidemics, road closure, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical/mechanical problems to transport due to bad roads and similar events beyond the company's control. Health: It is the responsibility of the client to insure that proper medical precautions (immunizations and so on) have been taken.
